Google is adding new information about COVID-19 in the search results.

Unlike any type of search we perform on Google, when we search for “coronavirus” or “Covid-19”, a series of special sections are shown. Information from WHO and other reliable sources, as well as a map and statistics.

In the main tab Summary we have the latest news published about the coronavirus, and the following tabs are dedicated to information and advice from the WHO under Symptoms, Prevention and Treatments. And now a new section is added with information on Health Centers that admit Covid-19 tests and have been approved by the authorities.

At the moment, Google shows a total of more than 2000 centers belonging to 43 US states. The availability of these places will depend on the location of the user, since it follows the dynamics of displaying local information that is valuable to people.

Like the rest of the information that Google shows about the coronavirus, the list of these centers comes from trustworthy organizations such as health institutions and government sources. Google will only display this data, so the user will have to go to the institution's website or contact by other means to find out about the process, requirements, etc.

On the other hand, in the new “Testing” tab, the user will also find a series of suggestions in case they need medical assistance and other information of local interest.
